The Art House Sketchbook Project 2011

A couple of weeks ago I came across The Art House Sketchbook project, how it works is you buy a moleskin sketchbook, fill the 40 pages with artwork/sketches/crafts/photographs… (with guidance of your theme) – my chosen theme is down your street.

The books then get submitted in January and displayed in exhibitions all over America.

Fundraiser Art

On September 12th, 2010, the Whistler Arts Council are hosting a fundraiser for the Art Workshops on the lake tickets are $15.

This event will focus on a raffle of original artwork created by emerging and professional artists including some of the Art Workshops instructors. Raffle tickets for the 8” x 8” pieces of artwork are $50 each. As people’s names are drawn, they choose a piece of artwork; it’s a matter of first come first serve. It is a fun way to purchase amazing and affordable original art!

The piece below is the 8×8 canvas I created for the event, it is based on the amazing scenery in Tofino, BC.

ArtWalk – based on the objectives of the Whistler Arts Council’s summer program – will showcase works by local artists and artisans for Games-time visitors to discover and purchase during the 2010 Winter Games. Whistler Live! ArtWalk brings the works of local artists to Whistler Village, the Upper Village and Creekside.
