LIGHTS OUT – Call for Entry

Lights Out is a local art show held in Transition Space gallery of art in the dark. Thursday, October 22 is opening night, where the windows will be blacked out and the light out.  Upon entry, people will be guided by light sources to view the show.

Deadline for Entry: October 5, 2009, Deadline for dropping off work: October 16th, between 7pm & 9pm, Entry Fee: $25.00

THEME:

The suggested theme is Apocalypse Now; however, artists can deviate from this theme to produce their own impressions of ‘lights out’. All door proceedes will be donated to Whistler Adaptive Sports Program.

ART PIECES

Create 1 – 3 pieces of work; all mediums are acceptable including fiber arts and free-standing sculpture. The work can be self-illuminated or use phosphorescent paints. However, works can be submitted without light aids, as guests will be given light sources to view the art pieces.
